how do you get a more deeper tasting beer?

ive made several batches of beer, all partial mash, and a lot of the time they come out great but im still not satisfied, i want to describe it as beer flavored water. not a lot of depth. i use a lot of grain (and even ratio of hops)
how do i fix this?

This is a hard Question to Answer without actually tasting your brew.

several things come to mind here.

1 what is your O.G.?
2 Is complete conversion taking place?
3 How Much is a "Lot of Grain"?
I can only answer "Sounds Like"
it sounds like you are asking how to get more of a Malt character,I will suggest that you Increase the O.G. and Perhaps make your recipe with more flavorful Malts.
