Is my city water good for brewing beer with?

I have been brewing with city water for years and have been creating very drinkable beers (so I think). I usually let my brew water sit for an hour or more to allow the chlorine to dissipate. You can use campden tablets to aid in the removal of free chlorine and chloramines.
