Used for cleaning plastic items and wooden barrels. Sodium Percarbonate will dissolve tartrate crystals, and is also effective at neutralizing acetic acid. Dissolve Sodium Percarbonate in hot water before mixing. Rinse well, and follow with meta/citric wash. Discretion should be used when cleaning new barrels with Sodium Percarbonate. Although it is very effective at cleaning and reduces the amount of sharp tannins, the loss of tannins will affect the life of the barrel. For cleaning a 50-gallon barrel, use 8 oz. o fSodium Percarbonate in 25 gallons of water. Mix well by rolling the barrel, and let soak for a few hours. Drain and rinse well.
